■Program Details

Yuzen Dye Drawing (pouch making)

Yuzen dyeing is a special dyeing method used for Kimonos. A flower pattern will be colored in to make a pouch that will make a perfect Japanese gift for you.

Kimekomi Wooden Strap

Japanese traditional Kimekomi Doll is made of clay or wood and fabric is punched in to dress them up. A strap will be made using this technique.

Kimono Experience and History

Wear a Kimono and walk around to see the bonsai event. Women will wear Furisode and men, Hakama.

Japanese Garden

Learn the essence of Japanese Gardening to understand the depth and beauty of it. You will be making a small garden on a table so you can learn how to make your own garden at home.

Furoshiki- Wrapping Cloth

Furoshiki is a simple rectangular cloth that is used to wrap and carry many things. You will learn various wrapping methods including wine bottles, ball, and gift boxes just using a single Furoshiki.

Emakimono- Picture Scroll

Emakimono or picture scrolls were made since the Heian era and in there lies Japanese cultural beauty in the pictures draw. Figured and Japanese papers will be used to make your original Emakimono.

Tea Ceremony

The Japanese traditional tea ceremony is an act of heating water, making tea, and treating the guests. Learn the proper way of being treated by following the simple rules of drinking tea.
